A must have filter tool for any digital landscape image making.
The most common use for Graduated Neutral Density camera filters, (also called split ND's Graduals), is to balance the exposure difference between the sky and the foreground, allowing you to retain the natural colors and detail without over-exposing (i.e., "washing out") parts of the image.
The most common type and useful is a 2 f-stops graduated ND camera filter.
All Round ND Graduated filters come in rotating rings.
The Tiffen HT Graduated ND Glass and B+W ND graduals resin are 2 f-stops (0.6), The B+W also comes in one stop excellent filter tools to improve your skies.
